This student-run café and bar is a hub of activity, exuding a welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complements its educational setting.

Despite its absence of food offerings, Caféen? thrives as a social hotspot, making it an ideal escape for students who wish to unwind with a drink after a long day of lectures. A unique aspect of this café is its membership model, which only requires a small annual fee of just 25 DKK. This affordability makes it accessible for students, who can savor their beverages while engaging in lively discussions or taking part in board game sessions with friends.

Nicholas Ipsen praises it as "a great place for students to hang out," pointing to the affordable prices and relaxed atmosphere. Similarly, Thue Nikolajsen emphasizes the incredible volunteer support that keeps it running almost professionally, despite the occasional expected issues that come with a student-led operation.

For those who appreciate a dash of humor alongside their beverages, Michael Larsen’s cheeky mention of it being "the greatest bar in Copenhagen" rings true, especially for the regulars who enjoy the unique blend of intellect and relaxation it provides. The ambiance is often described as lively, filled with students seeking a refuge from the academic hustle, making it the perfect backdrop for a casual evening.

Caféen? does come with its quirks, as highlighted in Kaspito [ESC]'s review about the occasional beverage mix-up. However, this adds to the charm of the place—it's all part of the student experience! The café is primarily aimed at university students, so if you’re in the realm of academia, expect to feel right at home among fellow scholars and future physicists.

In summary, Caféen? is more than just a café; it’s an essential part of the student life at the University of Copenhagen. Combining great company, a wide array of conversations, and a fun environment—this is the place to be if you want to make the most of your student years. Great place for students to hang out. Requires a membership to buy anything, but it's very cheap. Primarily aimed at, and run by, students from the University of Copenhagen.

This is the greatest bar in Copenhagen. It's full of physicists. DNUR

Student-run, mainly student clientele. Placed right on campus. The fact that there are volunteers enough to run it almost professionally is astounding. There are of course the issues that you would expect from this structure, but it works overall. No food in general.

They sometimes lie and give you water instead of drinks when they think you are too drunk, but still charge you for the drinks. Not a common occurrence, but does happen
